So, for lunch I went to subway, ate, walked out and got the New Mexican and went home. I plopped down on the couch hoping my picture was in it. (I had gotten my picture taken by tons of news reporters the day before.) So I went through and didn't see anything. Boo-Hoo. BUT, I did see an article titled "Miley Cyrus needs to come back to Earth." ...What?

This article by John Rosemond I felt was the most awful thing I've ever seen.

I'm kinda a Miley fan, of course I have some of her songs on my iPod, but he didn't have to be THAT mean. He says in the second to last paragraph "In the meantime, I propose that parents of her young fans pull the plug on Hannah Montana; that they confiscate all HM merchandise, including clothing and recordings, and explain to their kids that until Ms. Cyrus begins acting like she is deserving of being a role model to prepubescent girls, that her image in any form will not be allowed in the home." OH COME ON!

So if we take away Hannah Montana and Miley CD's let's just take the Beatles and your favourite T.V. show with it! I'm tired of people thinking that we're just... kids. 15 years old is most certainly NOT a kid! She is a beautiful and smart teenager, who doesn't need these putrid articles about her mistakes! Can't we for 1 day focus on the good things she's done in her life? Sure, she's made mistakes, I bet her parents made mistakes, I bet the publisher of this article has made mistakes, EVERYONE makes mistakes. It's part of the world! Kids can do so much more than go to school, do a few chores, brush their teeth and go to bed. We can learn, we can be strong, we can help, we can do just about anything. We could do EVERYTHING; but people like John Rosemond exist. We deserve freedom. We can be amazing people who change the world. Who would try to hold a child (or teenager!) back from what THEY want to do? We have BRAINS! We're not brainless short people who need people watching us 24/7 telling us what to do and how to do it. Preteens and teens should have the same rights as adults.

Well, about Miley...

I'll bet you that after all this Vanity Fair stuff, some people don't like her now. It's been on the news, on "What the Buck," everywhere. And now you publish the story in the newspaper on how she sucks? There were so many better stories out there, like the Peace Rally on Mothers Day. And you'd post some pointless article instead of so many other important things going on, and even worse -- in the KID'S SECTION?! Kids are probably not going to know what the word "prepubescent" means! Plus, the miley fans will probably throw that article away.

Why put out negative energy when we can just do good things and be positive. And parents of children that are Miley fans: Let your kids enjoy what they enjoy. They like her music, let them listen to it. They like the show "Hannah Montana" let them watch it! Miley will figure out on her own when she needs to change. She's smart, she'll figure something out. Don't be unfair to your kids by taking away everything that has to do with Miley, it's not THEIR problem that Miley made some people upset. Don't punish them for something they didn't do.
